EdCaN (the National Cancer Nursing Education Project) Website The Australian National Cancer Nursing Education Project

Welcome to EdCaN
The Australian National Cancer Nursing Education Project

People with cancer and their families have a right to expect that competent and educationally prepared nurses are available to meet their needs wherever they reside throughout Australia.

Working with nurses and other partners the EdCaN project will develop a national framework for cancer nursing, curricula for undergraduate and specialist cancer nursing practice and enhance access to education with on-line resource materials provided through a consortium of university and hospital partners throughout Australia.

This website provides you with information about the project, its aims, objectives and expected outcomes. You will also be able to monitor the project’s progress through regular updates. We need people interested and/or involved in cancer nursing practice or education, whether professionally or as a student, consumer or family member, to become familiar with the project through these web pages and participate in the project over the next four years.

The EdCaN project team, in conjunction with the Professional

Development Project Consortium, would like to announce

that the cancer professional development website

is now live for online access
